Why it doesn't hold the heat. Polyester doesn't absorb moisture. It moves it around and then holds on to it, which is why a child comes home warm, damp, and smelling of the classroom. The smell isn't the child. It's bacteria in a fabric that never properly dries.
Ours is a substantial 220 gsm, and every gram of it is cotton. Weight isn't what makes a shirt hot. Piqué's raised texture lifts the fabric off the skin and keeps air moving across it. Cotton takes moisture up and lets it go again, where polyester can only hold it, which is why it feels clammy in an air-conditioned room and hot the moment they go outside.
Printed and dyed with low-impact inks and dyes.
A note on sizing. Our polo fit is trim rather than boxy, and untreated cotton can shrink a little in the first wash. If your child is between sizes, or you want room to grow, we suggest sizing up. Wash cold and tumble dry low and it will hold its shape.
The quick way, order by age. Between sizes? Size up. Organic cotton softens beautifully with washing.| Size | Age | Chest | Length |
|---|---|---|---|
| XXS | 3-4 | 12.5" | 15.5" |
| XS | 4-5 | 13.5" | 16.5" |
| S | 6-7 | 14.5" | 17.5" |
| M | 8-9 | 15.5" | 19" |
| L | 10-12 | 16.5" | 20" |
| XL | 14-16 | 17.5" | 21.5" |
The sure way, measure a shirt that fits. Lay it flat: chest armpit to armpit, length shoulder seam to hem.
We print our brand and product content directly onto the garment, so there is no brand tag at all. The care label and the import-detail tag are both designed to tear away easily, so your child can have fully tagless comfort whenever you prefer.
The result is a garment that puts as little as possible between your child's skin and the fabric.
Unworn pieces with tags can be exchanged or returned within 14 days of delivery. Orders can be cancelled for a full refund any time before shipping. Questions: wecare@positivethread.com
